This is a supporting character from "Ace and Queenie:The broken cross gambit",a graphic novel project for A & Q that I am working on in my spare time. In "The broken cross gambit", Alex and Denise match wits with The Marquis de Languedoc, aka "The Hougenot"....a mad French Nobleman who has hired himself out as an assassin to the WRAITH organization to finance his campaign of revenge against the descendants of those who persecuted his Hougenot ancestors, but his ultimate goal is to cleanse France of all non-French through the use of biological weapons....The character depicted above is named Simon Aubrac. Simon is quite possibly the only person the Marquis De Languedoc genuinely trusts, and the closest that the Marquis has to family.
Simon was the illegitimate son of the Patriarch of a wealthy family. When the line of that family died out,he was disowned and consigned to an Orphanage, but was soon rescued and adopted by the Marquis, who declared himself Simon's Godfather.
Recognizing that Simon was a natural athlete, the Marquis financed the Boy's education and his training in the French Martial arts discipline known as Savate , or "French Boxing". : [link] ....Simon excelled at Savate, and the sport's core philosophy of hard work, good sportsmanship and honorable conduct was deeply ingrained in him. Simon's main duty is to act as the Marquis' personal bodyguard,a task which he performs with cool, quiet efficiency.
Simon is fiercely loyal to his adoptive Father, and shares his deep religious convictions as a Huguenot, but he is unaware of how these beliefs have been twisted in the Marquis' insane mind, nor is he aware of the Marquis' horrific ultimate plan for "cleansing" their beloved France. He only knows a Son's love for his Father, and that an enemy of the Marquis is his enemy as well. This means there will be a confrontation between him and Alex....quite possibly a fight to the death.
The characters The Marquis De Languedoc and Simon Aubrac were created by my good friend,A & Q fan and a very talented Artist in his own right, Patrick:ahoy:Charell .

In any case, a superb work, Rusty.
